Dato che gli aggiornamenti per le versioni di MIUI su base Gingerbread sono stati interrotti, abbiamo deciso di prendere in considerazione quei portings di MIUI V4 (quindi versioni non ufficiali) che ci sembravano più stabili e realizzare dei nuovi Italian Packs su misura per alcuni dei terminali non più supportati ufficialmente con le ultime versioni di MIUI ROM. Prima con HTC Desire e adesso con il Samsung Galaxy S i9000, stiamo offrendo a tutti gli appassionati italiani il piacere di godersi questa ottima ROM anche su quei terminali che meritano ancora molta attenzione. I nostri progetti non si fermano qui, presto supporteremo altri terminali con i migliori portings in circolazione e la nostra traduzione italiana.

Ripetiamo quanto già sottolineato al momento del rilascio dell’Italian Pack per il porting MIUI V4 su Desire, dato che si tratta di ROM non ufficiali, lo sviluppo di queste versioni dipende dai modder/devs che le realizzano, quindi se riscontrate problemi o bug, dovete fare riferimento alla discussione principale in cui viene pubblicato il porting, in questo caso si tratta del grande lavoro di Andy Thomson su Miuiandroid.com, questo è il thread originale. Per scaricare la ROM e l’ Italian Pack potrete utilizzare la nostra pagina Download o più semplicemente l’ applicazione MIUI ROM Downloader

Pur non essendovi più un supporto ufficiale per alcuni terminali, grazie alla grandissima community Android mondiale possiamo godere di molti interessantissimi progetti, uno dei quali è proprio il porting di MIUI V4 su HTC  Desire realizzato da Marange (questo è il thread ufficiale su XDA) sul quale abbiamo adattato il nostro pacchetto di traduzione, così da poterlo utilizzare al 100% in lingua italiana.

La ROM non è ancora perfetta, ad oggi ci sono degli sporadici freeze che costringono a togliere la batteria per riavviare il telefono ed altri aspetti (come la fluidità generale) verranno migliorati nelle prossime versioni, Marange ed il suo team stanno lavorando davvero ottimamente a questo progetto e speriamo che continuino a portarlo avanti con costanza.

Vi ricordiamo che, essendo questa una versione non ufficiale e non essendo MIUI Italia a sviluppare la ROM in questione, i tempi di rilascio dipendono dai modder ed ogni segnalazione relativa a bug o problemi deve essere fatta direttamente nella discussione del forum XDA sopra linkata. Mentre potrete segnalarci tranquillamente errori di traduzione o legati l nostro Italian Pack nella sezione bug report HTC Desire del nostro forum.

Per scaricare la ROM e l’ Italian Pack potrete utilizzare la nostra pagina Download o più semplicemente l’ applicazione MIUI ROM Downloader, ricordate di cercare la versione corrispondente all’ultima release del porting, l’ultima rilasciata da Marange è la 2.4.27, non è detto che corrisponda alla versione più recente rilasciata da MIUI.

MIUI 2.5.4 Italian Pack #1

Come già anticipato sui nostri social network, stiamo lavorando  alla traduzione del porting MIUI V4 su HTC Desire, che rilasceremo presto (il modder che sviluppa il porting ha avuto alcuni problemi con l’ultima versione quindi non abbiamo ancora una data precisa di rilascio), in modo tale da poter offrire l’esperienza di MIUI V4 in lingua italiana anche ai possessori di questo terminale, ancora degno di merito e supporto. Tempo decisamente da record che dimostra (come se ancora ce ne fosse bisogno) a che livello sia la richiesta per MI-ONE in Cina. Ma per quanto riguarda gli USA e, soprattutto, l’ Europa ? Xiaomi non fornisce informazioni precise o meglio, le ultime informazioni ufficiali parlavano, in tempi accettabili, di una vendita internazionale ma a causa di problemi legati alla produzione e alla distribuzione ci sembra che questo modello avrà grandi difficoltà ad arrivare in tempi brevi da noi.

Il telefono è davvero molto performante ha ottime caratteristiche tecniche e soprattutto un prezzo di listino davvero interessante, 1.999 Yuan ovvero circa 240 euro al cambio attuale, fattore che lo rende particolarmente appetibile, questi sono gli ingredienti di un prodotto vincente a cui purtroppo è mancato lo slancio verso un mercato più ampio.

Ma per un attimo mettiamoci nei panni di Xiaomi, la giovane e crescente azienda cinese sarebbe stata più che felice di esportare questo gioiellino (tra l’altro già perfettamente compatibile con le bande di rete italiane e di altri paesi) anche in Occidente (immaginatevi l’incremento dei guadagni) ma, proprio dall’analisi delle vendite su territorio cinese ci possiamo rendere conto di quanto sia ampio il divario tra l’aspettativa e previsione di vendita (su cui Xiaomi ha chiaramente basato la produzione) e l’effettiva richiesta del pubblico, infatti in patria il fantomatico MI-ONE è stato commercializzato fino ad ora in mini-lotti da 100-150.000 pezzi ciascuno, messi in vendita sporadicamente e ognuno di questi lotti ha registrato il “tutto esaurito” in pochi minuti dall’apertura delle vendite.  Questo significa che già la produzione è altamente insufficiente per coprire la richiesta in Cina, da qui possiamo facilmente dedurre che un’azienda seria come Xiaomi non può pensare di avviare con questi presupposti l’impianto necessario per gestire una distribuzione internazionale, almeno per il momento, correndo magari il rischio di fornire un servizio inadeguato e problematico anche e soprattutto per i clienti.

Comunque se siete appassionati di smartphone Android, se utilizzate MIUI ROM, se vi siete innamorati di MI-ONE e state ancora aspettando con grande impazienza il momento di poter acquistare uno smartphone di fascia alta con MIUI ROM a bordo, vi consiglio di rimanere nei paraggi, perchè nei prossimi mesi ci saranno grandi novità dai laboratori Xiaomi…stay tuned!
